An AH-1 Cobra settles to the deck of USS Duluth (LPD 6) as a UH-1 Huey takes off during routine flight operations. Both are attached to HMM 165 'Reinforced' with 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit 15 Aviation Combat Element based out of Camp Pendleton, Calif.

USS Duluth (LPD 6) is currently transiting through the Strait of Hormuz, signifying the end of their deployment to the Arabian Gulf and the last leg of it's final underway period as a commissioned Navy vessel. Upon completion of the cruise USS Duluth is scheduled to be decommissioned ending a 39-year life cycle as a United States Ship. USS Duluth is part of Expeditionary Strike Group Five based in San Diego, California.
