Exercise Cobra Gold 2002

With the help from a local Thai military instructor, A Marine from 3rd Recon BN from Okinawa, Japan participates in jungle survival training during Exercise Cobra Gold 2002.
The purpose of Cobra Gold is to improve U.S., Thai and Singaporean combat readiness and combined interoperability, enhance security relationships, and demonstrate U.S. resolve to support the security and humanitarian interests of friends and allies in the region.
