Builder Constructionman Steven Barksdale is a member of Naval Mobile Construction Battalion Seventy Four on his way to the southern portion of Iraq. The worry and wonder for the near future can be seen in his eyes as he rides in the back of a Multi-Tire Vehicle Replacement (MTVR) during a convoy across the border.
Naval Mobile Construction Battalions 74, 21, 4, 133, Support Unit Two (SU-2), 21, and Underwater Construction Team Two (UCT-2) are conducting mission oriented tasks in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Operation Iraqi Freedom is the multinational coalition effort to liberate the Iraqi people, eliminate Iraq's weapons of mass destruction and end the regime of Saddam Hussein.
