With winds in excess of 50 knots, members of Naval Mobile Construction Battalion Seventy Four hold on and hope their tents can withstand the next 12 hours of expected sandstorm. One member quickly realized his shelter half would most likely not survive the night.
Naval Mobile Construction Battalions 74, 21, 4, 133, Support Unit Two (SU-2), 21, and Underwater Construction Team Two (UCT-2) are conducting mission oriented tasks in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Operation Iraqi Freedom is the multinational coalition effort to liberate the Iraqi people, eliminate Iraq's weapons of mass destruction and end the regime of Saddam Hussein.
